Murder Machine by Jerry Capeci and Gene Mustain: This book tells the story of one of the most deadliest crews in the history of the mafia, the DeMeo crew.

Gangland by Howard Blum: This is definitely one of my favorite. This tells the story of the investigation and eventual conviction of John Gotti. It is extremely well written and very accurate.

Mafia Dynasty by John Davis: This book gives the complete story of the Gambino Crime Family from it's beginning to is recent slump in power.

Boss of Bosses by Joseph O'Brien and Andris Kurins: For anyone interested in Paul Castellano, this book is great. It is written by two of the FBI agents who investigated the "Pope" and who would eventually come and arrest him.

Wiseguy by Nicholas Pileggi: This book was used to wrote the very famous movie, Goodfellas. It tells the story of the snitch Henry Hill from his beginnings as a child who helped out at a local social club to his life on the run trying to evade his friends and associates from the Cosa Nostra.

A Matter of Honor by Remo Franceschini: This book, written by a cop, gives a good and accurate portrayal of John Gotti. It tells about Remo's investigation of "Johnny Boy" and ends with his retirement.
