Our charity raffle basket was a big hit with everyone. The raffle netted over $1,000.00 for our charity, St. Rose Center. Many thanks to our sponsors, Lyn and Ken of Tick Tock Shop, who donated Comiskey Park and a ballpark accessory and sold us several other accessories at below cost. Thanks also to our D56 rep, Scott, who added Wrigley Field to the basket at cost and to Bryon, who donated his baseball bleechers, which he later signed for the winners. Lyn then put it all together into a beautiful basket, along with some other Chicago type items the club purchased. Judith Price picked the winner of the charity raffle basket and presented it to Nancy & Steve Mattson of Central Islip (Long Island), N.Y., who are members of the Heritage Treasures Collectors Club of Long Island. Nancy said as soon as they returned home from the gathering, she was going to put together a baseball display with the Wrigley Field and Comiskey Park pieces and accessories they won.
