This collection of mid-20th century textiles was discovered by me in 1987 from a closed warehouse on the east coast. The contents of this warehouse included new/old textiles, still on the bolt, as it was originally sold back in the 1920's, 30's, 40's, and 50's. Everything from dress rayons, barkcloths, friezes, damasks and pebblecloths were found inside. If you have ever scoured flea markets and thrift stores as much as I have over the years, you would know how hard it is to find good vintage textiles in mint and unused condition. The design and craftmanship of this under-recongnized American art form is finally recieving well-deserved notice as an integral part of the 20th century American decorative arts movement. I hope you enjoy looking through my electronic catalog, and peaking through the past.
