CHIDESTER: As part of John Chidester's site, the Harbour Lights Collectors Information Center, you will find several galleries of terrific lighthouse photography from John and his cyber friends.

COWAN: This site is about the Life of John Merrill Cowan, a lighthouse keeper in the Pacific Northwest for over 39 years. Produced by his great granddaughter, Heather Bowers.
CARTER: The Carter family's production, Lighthouses: A Photographic Journey on the Internet Public Library.
DAVINER: Jim Daviner is an inspired painter and photographer. "Inspired" is the right word because his subjects are often Lighthouses! Visit the Daviner Gallery
DIGEST: The Lighthouse Digest is a monthly magazine dedicated to lighthouses and published in Wells, Maine, not far from Goat Island. These are the people also responsible for the World's largest lighthouse gift shop (on U.S. 1 in Wells) and the Lighthouse Depot mail-order catalog. Check the home page for many interesting articles and photographs.
DOOR COUNTY: More lighthouses than any other US county on this Wisconsin peninsula in Lake Michigan. Take the Chamber of Commerce's Door County Lighthouse Tour.
DUCKS: This is the site for Ambassador West Galleries of Charleston SC. They have put many of the South Carolina waterfowl stamps up on the Web, including the current series featuring ducks and lighthouses.

elia's ART: See the beautiful colors of elia's pastels of Point Vicente. These impressions are very evocative of this memorable California lighthouse.

EYES: The Eyes That See pages feature a small sampling of Jeanetta K. Hodges’ photographs, including many beautiful lighthouses of Cape Cod and the Islands.

FAGAN: When Bob Fagan and the producers of "Painting on Location" began planning for their 2nd 13-part series, they were looking for something that would connect all the programs in the series together and act as a common thread between them. Many ideas were discussed and discarded until they thought of lighthouses. A tour of the 13 lighthouses visited while producing the "Lighthouses of Michigan" Series.

FAMSA: The Fine Art Museum of San Francisco has many lighthouse works in its IMAGE BASE. Go to the Search Engine.

FAROIS: A wonderful book on Brazilian lighthouses and forts Fortes e Farois by Ricardo Siqueira. Ricardo's photography is a feast of opulent geometric and chromatic composition -- not to mention exotic and appealing lighthouses.

FIEDLER: A native Greenporter, Rich Fiedler is one of the most widely regarded Long Island regional artists on the East End. His paintings of local subjects- lighthouses, tall ships, harbors, barns and beaches- capture the essence of the area.

GLASEN: Wolfgang Seemann presents a fascinating collection of the German Lighthouses of the Baltic Sea Coast.

HUDSON: The Hudson Valley Historic Sites pages contain a wonderful lighthouse hunters' cruise on the mighty Hudson, hosted by the Poughkeepsie Journal.


HUDSON2: Hudson River Lightkeepers presents Hudson River Lighthouses. Historic pictures of extinct lighthouses and links to the remaining lights.

HURLEY: The Florida Lighthouse Page is an excellent source of enjoyment and knowledge from Coast Guardsman Neil Hurley. Check out the Kids' Questions Page.

IOS: Howard Freeland writes, "You might like to create some links to some pages that I maintain at . . .the Institute of Ocean Sciences." This organization monitors oceanic conditions at British Columbian lighthouses in the Canadian Pacific Northwest.

JENSEN: Visit Lighthouses of Sweden as the guest of Henning Jensen.

JKANDIK: Lighthouses of Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. A couple of lighthouse lovers, who travel and photograph among these scenic lighthouses, and who say "we are pleased to share our experiences with the lighthouse-loving public."

JOAN: Joan has Lighthouses near Savannah, Georgia.

KRANKING: Award winning watercolorist Margaret Graham Kranking, a member of the U. S. Coast Guard artists programs, includes lighthouses among her beautifully envisioned works.

LINDA: Linda Anderson maintains a great site, Linda's Lighthouse Page -- the one that got this author really hooked on lighthouse hunting on the Web -- lots of links, graphics, cybertours and the home page of the Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association.
LORETTA: Loretta Cicerrella is an award winning photographer who lives on the south shore of Lake Erie. See her vision of lighthouses at Lake Erie Lighthouses by Loretta.
LOC: The Library of Congress American Memory project includes Civil War photography and the Photo Archives of Detroit Publishing, among other things -- An amazing set of collections of very significant classic photography and visual documentation of U.S. history. Their built-in search tools will help you find lighthouses -- and almost any other topic you can imagine. Please note: The URLs for individual pictures at the LOC change from time to time, so if the link on The Lighthouse Hunter doesn't work, go to this LOC site and use their excellent search engine.

MARLER: A most complete collection of Lighthouses of North Carolina and South Carolina by G. L. Marler and J. A. Marler.

MARVIN: Marvin Aerial Photography, Nautical Art for the Home, Office and Gallery: Using a small plane, a medium format camera and a variety of lenses, they travel the Great Lakes shooting events and picturesque landmarks, especially lighthouses.

MIKE: Mike's Lighthouse Pages! These pages are devoted to the many lighthouses Mike has seen in California and Oregon. You'll find some histories, lots of pictures, and even directions to help you get there yourself!

MONOMOY: These images are resident on the author's lighthouse Web site.

NEW ENGLAND: Jeremy D'Entremont's presentation of the famous beacons from the region that is the birthplace of American lighthouses. The site is a prototype for a CD-ROM in-the-making, New England Lighthouses: A Virtual Guide.
NEW HAVEN: New Haven Lighthouse Page by Chris.
NORTHERN: Northern Images -- some beautiful scenes from the Duluth-Superior Harbor area, where Minnesota and Wisconsin conjoin around Lake Superior. The sound file of Big Toot, the sonorous fog horn, is a treat!
NPS: The U.S. National Parks Service maintains part of the the publication, 1994 Inventory of Historic Light Stations. Pages are there for lighthouses and stations which are located within the boundaries of NPS-managed properties.
NSLPS: The Nova Scotia Lighthouse Preservation Society. The Society, founded in 1993, has grown to over 100 members, in Canada, the United States and Europe.
O'BRIEN: As Malcolm MacDonald wrote in the BULLETIN July 98: Lighthouses of Australia Project, "At last Pauline O'Brien's new Lighthouses of Western Australia <http://bajoran.upnaway.com/~obees/lights/> site, featuring the lighthouses of Fremantle, is up and well worth a visit. . . Also her class at Beaconsfield Primary School, Fremantle, have entered a Web site called "Guiding Lights" <http://www.omen.net.au/~beacy/lrng21/lrng21.htm> as part of a Western Australian School Web design competition. It was this involvement with her students that got her motivated to do something with the under represented WA lights herself.

OWENS: Steven Owens Photography. Each picture of these British Isles lighthouses is worth a thousand words.

PAGLIOLI: Italian Lighthouses -- a preview of an upcoming CD-ROM by photographer Samantha Paglioli.

RADIANCE: Scottish Radiance. A great E-zine dedicated to the country of Scotland. Includes monthly photos and write-ups of lighthouses.

RANDALL: Artwork by Randall Peterson. This limited edition print series features lighthouses from the Great Lakes Region, from the east coast and from the west coast.
ROCKY: Tim "Yeastman" Lentz writes that his wish is to give " . . . real, indepth information about the Lights of the Oregon Coast on the web. . . to document the historical information and stories behind the lights . . . surely The Lights of the Rocky Shores deserves a link. I hope you feel the same." Absolutely, Yeastman! Also visit Yeastman's Corner.

SCARMATO: Tony Scarmato paints a variety of subjects, but is best known for his scenes of Long Island's East End, including many lighthouses. Visit the Scarmato Gallery.

SCHOLES: See the beautiful Japanese woodblock prints of Graham Scholes, who depicts many of the Canadian lighthouses of British Columbia in their breathtaking settings.
SEAWAY: Lighthouses of the New York State Seaway Trail, by Tim Capone and Chris Henderson. These Pages are a pictorial of the lighthouses along the Seaway Trail in New York State (St. Lawrence River, Lake Ontario, Niagara River, Lake Erie), and many of the Canadian lighthouses in this area also. Included is some information such as the history, location and accessibility of these lighthouses..
SHANKLIN: Check out the fantastic adventures of Bob and Sandra Shanklin The Lighthouse People; a Florida couple who have traveled to and photographed every U. S. lighthouse in the contiguous 48 states. These people are my heros! The website adds new "Seldon Seen" lighthouse photos to keep us coming back.
SLECHTA: From the travels of Jim and Virginia Slechta, a collection of Lighthouse Photos, many are little known stations. Special thanks to Jim and Virginia for sharing these photos with the Lighthouse Hunter and with lighthouse lovers on the Internet.

STEIN: Stein Erik Wroldsen's Norske fyrtårn på postkort -- Norwegian Lighthouses on postcard. Stein writes, "I have collected Norwegian lighthouses on postcard in the past several years. Now I will show my collection, and it is listed in alphabetical order."

TEACHOUT: Debra Teachout-Teashon's Lighthouses of the Pacific Northwest; a Pacific Northwest photographer whose subjects include the dramatic lighthouses of her home region.
