Example Awards

Steve Seaquist won the best presentation award (out of more than 200 presentations) at the Seattle USE Conference. It was VERY NICE winning this, because it resulted in free air fare, lodgings and registration for the Denver Conference. He could not attend the Conference between Seattle and Denver, where the award would've been presented in person, so there isn't any photo. But he did receive this kind letter from the President of USE, Tom Murphy:

More recently, Steve won a "Thank You" award from the SBA. This was for his hard work on the Northridge earthquake disaster relief. Out of more than 4800 SBA employees who worked on this effort, Steve was one of only 7 or 8 employees who were presented this award. The man presenting the award is Phillip Lader (the Administrator himself!) of the US Small Business Adminstration:

Steve is also heavily involved in judo. He's the chief instructor of the Prince George's County Police Judo Club. He also teaches Defensive Tactics at the Academy. Here he is receiving the Chief's Award, the highest award the Prince George's County Police gives to a civilian. (The handsome fellow presenting the award is Chief Mitchell.) Underneath is Steve with several of his higher-ranking students and co-instructor, Cpl. Tony Avendorph (far right):
