 This page is devoted to reviewing type products and typefaces to help you make purchasing decisions. The ITFI will review any type product that is sent to us on a first come first serve basis depending on platform. For more information on submitting your products and designs for our review process, please send us E-mail or have your marketing firm send us a evaluation copy.
The ITFI will also try to show samples of typefaces with any foundry review. We will try to review up to 20 typefaces each month, and we plan to use Shockwave for Freehand to show the details of these faces on the web. Not all browsers support Shockwave, so we will have the samples be on a different page from the rest of the review. Because of the tremendous benifit that Shockwave for Freehand offers, the ITFI strongly urges you to give it a try.
Currently the ITFI has access to both Mac (PowerPC and 040) and PC computers, and we will try to review for both platforms. Our preference is toward the Mac, and products for this platform will be reviewed quicker.
The ITFI will try to remain independent when conducting reviews, but if you feel different from any review posted here, please feel free to send E-mail to our News page.
On with the reviews. It has been a while since our last review due to a lack of submissions, in the past two weeks we have gotten in a number of submissions, so we should have this section back up to speed soon. Our newest review is of the typefaces from Brian Sooy. His collection has some really great faces that should be a welcome addition to your collection, I hope that you enjoy the review.
