Morningside Movies is a highly regarded New York City production house, primarily devoted to producing commercials for the Hispanic market in the U.S. Founded in 1988 by Guatemalan-born director Luis Argueta, Morningside has worked with such top clients as Coca-Cola, AT&T, and Anheuser Busch, and its commercials have won numerous awards including a Telly, an Addy, and a Clio.

In the spring of 1993, Morningside Movies launched its new feature film division with the production of The Silence of Neto. Shot entirely in Guatemala, the film completed post-production in early 1994 and is seeking international distribution. In addition to The Silence of Neto, Morningside has several scripts in various stages of development.
