| Issaquah SkyportA City Soaring ParadiseThe skyport was a wonderful contribution to soaring. Unfortunately, it was closed in the late 1980's ... a victim of urban sprawl. I'll never forget the 2-33's, alias "The General" and "The Banana". Many hours were spent in them under the watchful eyes of Roger Brewer, instructor extrordinare. (Only once did he have to say, "Don't ever do that with me in here again!") A personal favorite was the 1-23 (serial #001), nicknamed "June Bug". |
