This is only a guess at the name for these districts and is also only a guess that they were ever districts. These two short branches accounted for only about 8.7 miles of track in Osage county. Branching off the Second District at Burbank these routes were more than likely used to service the Osage county oil fields. They were built sometime after 1912 and were abandoned in 1939. Osage county is know for its rolling hills and prarrie. Buffalo still roam in this area in a huge state park grassland intended to restore the natural habitat that these rambling beasts used to call home. I have not seen reference in any timetables to these routes so they were probably little more than spurs off the mainline. They are shown however on a 1928 copy of a State of Oklahoma Railroad map. These lines could not be found in a timetable that I own. They are instead taken from a 1928 map. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Photocopies are acceptable!
