For the most part the 10.6 mile Cushing district followed the south bank of the Cimarron River. The discontinuance of the doodlebugs in 1956 probably spelled the end of this line. It was abandoned in May of 1957. Although already abandoned the line was finished after a major flood in May of 1957. There was only one station between Ripley and Cushing at Mile Post 6.4 from Cushing called Amabel. It allowed the Doodlebugs of the Stillwater district to connect with the Second district at Cushing. There was also a regularly scheduled daily freight. I have not found a photo of this depot and I am unsure if one ever existed.
