This line was apparently built with the intent of connecting with a Rock Island branch line out of Kingfisher. The Cashion line was abandoned on Februray 20, 1934. The Rock's route lasted just a little longer being abandoned on April 1, 1937. The purpose of this line is unknown to me but it was probably used for agricultural products and maybe oil. Was this a joint project with the Rock Island? In this way it is similar to the Lindsay district as the line connected in the middle-of-nowhere with a Rock Island branch line.
This timetable is from an Official Guide January 1939. If anyone can provide a photocopy of an employee timetable showing this distirct all would appreciate the thought.
