The Osborne and Tipton depots may be examples of Salina Northern standard design. In a similar manner the now destroyed depot at Lincoln (called Lincoln Center in the timetables) may have also been an example of a Salina Northern structure. The line itself runs through some very hilly portions of west central Kansas. The number of trees dwindles as you go further west. This line was also operated on a one day out one day back operation. A meet between trains 79 and 80 was scheduled at the Forney siding at 11:30am. One wonders why train 80 could not wait an additional few minutes to leave Osborne to avoid this meet.
Timetable from August 29, 1942.
