Rick & Sandy Paggeot & Family

Sandy & I were born in Muskegon Michigan and attended High School in Whitehall, Michigan together.  After I served four years in the Navy and Sandy studied at Ferris State Univ. I began College at Michigan State Univ.  We were married in East Lansing, Michigan in 1963 and our daughter Shawn was born there in 1964.   I completed my degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering in 1968 and joined the Motorola Corp. in Schaumburg, Illinois as a design engineer in communications systems.  Our son Patrick was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois in 1968.  After that, my career with Motorola took us many places.  In 1970 we were transferred to Weisbaden Germany for three years, then to Plantation, Florida until 1976.  We then went to Crystal Lake, Illinois until 1982. There, Sandy received her RN in nursing at Elgin Community College in 1981.   She managed to get one year into her career and then we again transfered to Florida, this time residing in Davie and working in Plantation.  In 1986 we returned to Illinois, this time residing in Barrington, and this time without Shawn & Patrick.  (I think they finally missed the truck).  Shawn married in South Florida and Patrick started College in South Carolina.  Moving around that much proved to have many pluses and some negatives.  We all made many friends wherever we went, many of whom we maintain contact with today.  We also had a diversity of social and cultural experiences that most families could never gain.  Packing box's, changing schools, and saying goodby wasn't much fun.  The moves were all accompanied by career advancement and in 1991 I retired after serving as Senior VP in charge of the World Wide  Cellular Subscriber Group.  Sandy & I had wanted to return to West Michigan for many years and when we had the ability to do it we didn't hesitate.  We both have large families and many friends here, it seems as if we never left.  We remodeled (more like rebuilt) a home on the South shore of White Lake and intend to stay put finally.

About Shawn & Patrick

Shawn graduated High School in Crystal Lake, Illinois and after moving to Florida with us, attended Broward Community College.  In 1987 she married Michael (Mike) Duckworth in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Both her and Mike were employed by Winn Dixie Foods Inc. at that time and Mike continues there today.  They have three children, Michael Steven (10), Lauren Ashley (7), and Cory Brian (4) and reside in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
Patrick graduated High School in Cooper City, Florida and went on to Coker College in Hartsville, S. Carolina on a tennis scholarship.  After graduating he received his tennis teaching professional certificates and taught at several locations in South Carolina.  In 1995 he married Samantha Enzor in her home town of Nichols, S. Carolina.  They reside in Myrtle Beach, S. Carolina where Patrick is the Director of Tennis at the Dunes Golf and Tennis Club, and Samantha works for the School System in child psychology.
