electronic product
design

This was the first concept model
in this development process and was made in order to test for
the market demand for a portable patient monitor and to get feedback
from potential customers about their needs and preferences.
This model's case is made primarily
from wood. The display and switchpanel are functional. Waveforms
and data generated by an external computer were displayed to the
test groups so that software and electronic function needs could
be evaluated. The suitability of the form factor and human interfaces
were evaluated by the marketing department using test groups of
potential customers.
