Paul's Extra Special Bitter Label

This was my fourth beer. I've tried to improve it over the years (see batch #'s 9, 13, and 27) . My lastest version of this (batch #27, made with my Uncle Michael on Thanksgiving weekend '95) has improved on the original with liquid British Ale yeast, fresh Cascade hops for bitterness, aroma, and dry hopping, and a mini-mash of 4 lbs. of pale ale malt. I tasted it for the first time after bottling it on Jan. 16 and was impressed. But it is still a little green and needs to mellow a few more months.

By the way, the three green "plants" on the bottom of the label are supposed to be hops cones, which are actually a flower of the hops vine. I put them with some other flowers around the beer mug to symbolize that a good Ale has a bouquet like flowers at Springtime. But any "hophead" knows that a good bouquet from an ale is better than flowers any day!
