I have a passion for Dutch oven outdoor cooking.! I am a Wood Badge trained scouter and have been working as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America for a number of years. I have worked in all four families of Scouting and currrently serve on the Boy Scout Troop Committee. Here are a couple of links to some great scouting resources online!

Gary Hendra's MacScouter - terrific all-around Scouting Site by a devoted scouter.
Among my favorite hobbies is Dutch oven cooking. I have several recipes to share with you
if you are interested in learning about this skill. All it takes is practice, and who doesn't like to
eat? The worst you can do to your food is burn it. Otherwise, it just takes some patience and a little experience to make something really delicious.
For several years I have taught a class with some friends, on Dutch oven cooking for Scouting Leaders at the BYU/UVSC Merit Badge Pow Wow in November. We give out recipes every year. Here are the recipes from the 1997, 1999, and 2000 Outdoor Dutch Oven Cooking Classes for Scout Leaders! Have some fun experimenting with these, and please let the authors know what you think of them. We had a great time and look forward to the next class, taught the first two Saturday mornings of November at the annual BYU (Provo, Utah) and UVSC (Orem, Utah) Merit Badge Pow-Wow. It's free, so if you are in the area please stop by! Send me a note by Email if you want more information.

Here are a few members of the Tabernacle Choir as we sang in LDS General Conference in the Tabernacle a few years ago with now-retired director Jerold Ottley. The famous Mormon Tabernacle remains the home for the choir's weekly TV and radio broadcasts although the church has since built a new Conference Centerwhere General Conference is now held. Both of these buildings are remarkable and one-of-a kind, each representing a bold new approaches to large auditorims unknown anywhere else in the world at the time of their construction.
The choir consists of about 350 members who volunteer their time for the love of music and singing, and for the love of sharing what we have found in the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The choir members and its' directors and organists are dedicated musicians who love the opportunities for public service as rendered in weekly radio and television broadcasts as well as in live concerts and in recordings. There are dozens of commercial recordings of the choir [and the organ] available; see the links below for a sample of available recordings. A few of these have received coveted awards from the music recording industry and have become very famous.

I served two years as a full-time religious minister in the Italy South Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There are presently four missions for the church in Italy. The Italian Missionary Association now has a web site located at www.italymissions.com. Links to all of the current Italy Missions (and some of the former missions) are available here. Also, the latest news about the activities of the Association, contact information for previous missionaries and mission presidents, and other interesting information is there.
