This is a photograph of the
Confederate battle flag of the 28th North Carolina Infantry. This
flag was one of the 33 Confederate colors captured with the
repulse of Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg on July 3, 1863. 104 of
its 349 men fell during the charge.
