We, the Marist Missionary Sisters, are a Catholic missionary community of women who dedicate our lives to cross-cultural mission outside of our countries of origin. We live and work among people whose culture is not our own, bearing witness to the good news of God's love for all.

Professionally, we may work as a pastoral worker, a nurse, a doctor, a teacher, a social worker, a counsellor, a secretary, etc., but above all we are called to be women of prayer and signs of God's compassionate love.

Today the Marist Missionary Sisters' international membership numbers around 600, serving in 29 countries in the islands of the South Pacific, Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, the Caribbean and the United States. We work in solidarity with the poor and neglected.

The Marist Missionary Sisters (official name: Missionary Sisters of the Society of Mary) belong to a religious family known as the Society of Mary which includes Marist Teaching Brothers, Marist Fathers and Brothers, Marist Sisters, Marist Missionary Sisters and Third Order Marists.
