I am not criticizing Microsoft for the sake of criticizing Microsoft, but I am deeply concerned about the business tactics and market position which Microsoft possesses. I am simply trying to alert others so that they as consumers can take appropriate action. I would love to discuss the points I made with you, so please tell me which points you disagree with and why. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- David Schneider-Joseph MachCU@aol.com Anti-Micro$oft Association http://users.aol.com/machcu/amsa.html >I was disappointed with what u said in Anti Microsoft page. >If u cannot say good about anybody atleast do not criticize.
From: a-prapa@microsoft.com To: MachCU@aol.com Subject: Anti Microsoft Message Date: 2/28/98 3:50:58 AM Hi Mach This site speaks more about Business Tactics. Why to criticise the product. If u don't like the product please do not use it. I had come across a person who always criticised MS products but had most of the MS products installed on his PC & he could not work or grow without that. MS do not go to anybody to sell the product. He is in demand. I totally agree that MS products are not the BEST products, but it is an open challenge to all of u to show by creating new product. Why don't u all spend time & money in further development insted of wasting time in finding the bugs. I think he has lot of manpower for that Thanks Prasanna

I think it's important to note that Microsoft beats the competition without making good products simply by leveraging their existing dominance and advertising muscle. It's something consumers should be wary of before they choose to buy Microsoft. >If u don't like the product please do not use it. I certainly do not use them. >I had come across a person who always criticised MS products but >had most of the MS products >installed on his PC & he could not work or grow without that. Usually, people don't have a choice about which software comes with their PC. Many people are forced to buy Microsoft software just to buy a computer. And many people feel forced to use Microsoft software because most of the software they need only runs on Windows. I know many people also who hate Microsoft products but unfortunately, do not have an alternative. >MS do not go to anybody to sell the product. He is in demand. >I totally agree that MS products are not the BEST products, but it >is an open challenge to all of u to show by creating new product. Well, then how come time after time Microsoft's inferior products beat out the competition's superior products? Surely, more is taking place here than consumers simply choosing the best product for them. >Why don't u all spend time & money in further development insted >of wasting time in finding the bugs. I think he has lot of >manpower for that Well, I don't have stock/work for any of Microsoft's competition (although I expect to buy some of Apple soon). But I do want viable choices as a consumer.

At this point, the conversation abruptly ended. I have not received a response.
