BETTING ODDS SERVICES
These are services which provide the opportunity to analyse and
compare the betting odds offered by five major UK bookmakers
on their weekend and midweek football coupons. The bookies are
Ladbrokes, Coral, William Hill, Stanley and SuperSoccer. Odds
data
is available as weekly email file attachments over season
2001-2002, or in the
form of archive files dating back to season 1997-98.
Generally by Monday
evening for mid-week matches, and Wednesday evening for the forthcoming
weekend, a series of files is sent out as email attachments. These files allow
subscribers to carry out a comprehensive analysis of UK
bookmaker's prices. This e-mail service provides all the
information needed to
identify the best bets and to develop and test
personal betting strategies.
As well as plain text there are files which can be imported into spreadsheet or database applications.
Home, draw and away long-list odds, half~time full~time and correct score odds, are all
listed for coming matches.
And, as part of the email service, there are files
analysing team form and giving prediction ratings. Even more, throughout the
2001-2002 season, subscribers are
sent weekly files listing all soccer results and tables for the major
and minor English and Scottish leagues.
