Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino
Fraternity, Inc.
Est. April 5th, 1979

In 1979 twenty young Latino men recognized the need for an organization that would represent and meet the needs of the Latino student population at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-Livingston Campus. As a result, an organization named Latinos Siempre Unidos Social Fellowship Club was established. Proudly, this Social Fellowship was able to facilitate effective change as a liaison between Latino students and university bureaucracy
On April 5, 1979, the Latinos Siempre Unidos Social Fellowship Club evolved into what is now known as Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity, Inc. Since that time, LSU has become a respected organization of 12 Chapters consisting of strong men representing a diverse mixture of cultures and races. Thus, is the diversity of our Brotherhood that allows us to grow in pride and cherish our heritage.
Thank You Founding Fathers of LAMBDA SIGMA UPSILON LATINO FRATERNITY, INC. for creating a power voice of change.
On December 13, 1986, Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity, Inc. established its 5th Chapter at The New Jersey Institute of Technology with 10 Founding Brothers. This Chapter would be known as THE PIONEROS CHAPTER. Throughout the years we have successfully crossed many brothers, however in Fall 1991 the PIONEROS Chapter-NJIT welcomed its first brother from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-Newark Campus. Since then, The PIONEROS Chapter has maintained the existence of Brotherhood in both schools.
Finally, I would like to dedicate this WEB site to the Founding Brothers of The PIONEROS Chapter, Established December 13, 1986.
