Official Notice: As of October 2002, the VRI is officialy closed, and it's website is more or less dismantled, with some of the hopefully informative articles left here for posterity. At the request of several individuals the Guest Book archives have been removed.

The two 1997 articles I wrote below have been cleaned up, the HTML rewritten so as to be more readable, and they have also been moved to a new web server.
