Natural Remedies for Baby Blues (Post Partum Depression)

Be sure to check with your healthcare provider, especially if your Baby Blues last for more than a few weeks. Most women get baby blues to some extent as a result of adjusting hormones to the pre-pregnancy state. These remedies should help to ease the symptoms, but be sure to check with a healthcare provider to be sure they are safe for you.

  • Figs, sprouts, royal jelly, bee pollen, Ginseng, Hops and Sarsaparilly help to balance hormones.

  • Breastfeeding your baby helps to moderate the hormonal adjustment slowly and evenly.

  • Lemon Balm leaves: Drink one or two cups of infusion with milk and honey daily for one to two weeks to help cope with new life situations.

  • Blessed Thistle leaves: Drink one to two cups of infusion or up to 80 drops of the tincture daily. Note that the infusion has a very bitter taste.
