Presently, thanks to Precision Turbo & Engine, Caspers Electronics, GN/T Performance, Cottons Performance, Lance Ward, Scott Simpson, Dave Huinker, Jay Carter and their help and recomendations, my car is equipped as follows:

  • Stock 3.8L Long Block
  • TE61 Turbo
  • MSD 50# Injectors
  • Precision Front Mount Intercooler
  • ATR Downpipe and wastegate
  • Caspers TPS-TEC
  • Level 10 Built 200R4 Transmission
  • S&A Open Ended Air Filter
  • Chip by JT (My Own Recipe's)
  • AC R43TS Plugs
  • Magnecore 10mm Wires
  • Mark Martone Adj Fuel Pressure Regulator
  • Mark Martone Engine Tie Down
  • Rear Air Bags
  • B&M Supercooler Trans Cooler
  • Cottons 3" SS Dual Exhaust
  • Precision Industies 9.5" Vigilante Convertor
  • Modern Musclecar MAF Translator
  • 3" Impala SS MAF
  • TurboMotion P&P Heads w/big valves
  • PTE 210/210 roller cam
  • Champion Intake
  • PTE Plenum
  • 70mm throttle body
The 3" dual exhaust is one of the finest systems I've seen. I've heard of fitment problems, but it fit perfect in my car. Below you can see a couple pics of what the exhaust looks like under the car. Click on either photo for a full size picture.

or Here (mp3 ~180k). This IS muffled! :-)

Near future mods include:
  • Precision remote oiling system
  • Custom 6pt Rollcage

My heads are DONE!! Jason Williams of TurboMotion in Sarasota did a FINE job!! We'll see how these baby's do in the spring. These heads out flowed the high dollar aftermarket heads by almost 30%!! Armed with 1.77 and 1.50 valves, and a champion intake courtesy of GN/T Automotive, we're almost ready to play...Check em out!

We'll see how the emissions stack up this spring, but below is before the MAJOR mods.....

I have not run the car as of yet, but expect a time slip in the mid to high 11's. In addition, with some tuning I expect to run that on a street chip which should net 20-25mpg and pass stringent NJ Emissions tests. See my cars inspection report screen shot below:

That is WITHOUT a cat!! My goal is to prove that through proper tuning, you can have an emissions compliant vehicle, as well as a powerhouse. All tuning is done using Direct Scan or Turbolink two of the BEST tuning tools in the industry. Direct Scan is my current favorite since it shows operating parameters in real time, at a rate of 18fps!!!!! Making it possible to catch just about anything that might be causing a problem. Additionally, DS shows which BLM cell is being accessed at any given moment which I find very usefull for trimming fuel curves across the entire operating range.

Below is a boxed control arm that I made myself. The bushing holes have been reinforced, the stabilizer bar holes have been reinforced, and the control arm is boxed using 1/8" flat stock, all mig welded. I am hoping these pieces turn into a nice alternative to the expensive professionally done pieces. I guess a few hard launches will tell.

Modifications to the interior below....

Interior trimmings include Autometer Boost, Oil Pressure, Water Temperature, Voltage, and AF Ratio meters, along with Caspers Electronics' Knock Gauge. Which by the way is a VERY nice piece. Soon to have a rollcage, the interior is still stock. Future plans include reupholstering the interior in contrasting colors of gray. I hoped to have it finished by Labor Day 1999, but the upholstery is being specially made and wasn't finished in time. I hope to be able to show the car one day. Its nice for a street car I must say. If you're wondering what that square thing is on the steering wheel, its an Infra Red Remote Control for my stereo. If audio interests you, feel free to check out the "stereo" link above for further information.
