Sethworks Mooseum Annex Exhibit: Kristy's Photos of the Lake Do

The "Lake Do" was a meeting of Mooses which occured in mid-August '96 at Keuka Lake, Upstate NY. As a meeting place, Kristy offered her cottage which is located on the East side of the lake on Eggleston point.

Marsha - "We arrive at a beautiful lakeside with serenity and sunlight oozing all over the place. I really am not good with descriptions but put a little modern looking cottage next to a lawn that leads down to a pebbley shore with a dock, a boat and clear sparkling water to little houses and trees on the other side. Idealic."

Chris - "They spent all that time talking to some dead guys with funny names. And it's all Lynn's fault because she's the one to bring that nasty [Ouija] board of hers. The whole adventure exploded into indescribable violence as a fly melted into the candle wax when Marsha kept trying to coerce one more ghost to tell her whether she would end up living in Elmira. They even tried to convince me to help them roll that silver dollar for them after their hands got so tired they were considering levitating m&m's as a means of communication with their 'inner selves' I thought the whole thing was hillarious."

Kristy - "We swam and boated and ate and hiked and chatted and hunted firewood and ate and chatted and DRANK!!! We did play a little too much with the board, I'll admit that, but it was absolutely fascinating and so far totally on. I felt that there were people speaking through me, I think that I will attempt some automatic typing next."

Kristy - "There's a cute story that goes with it [this picture].

I was driving down the highway with my 8 yr. old son on the way to the Lake Do and thinking about the sign I made for Lynn. It had an elk on it instead of a Moose, I was thinking about how I would explain the obvious error <gg>

I said to myself, in my head, "I used the elk, because Moose have those funny antlers" and as I did it I put my hands up to my head (like it shows in the picture)

Remember now, I was in the car with my son and nobody was making any noise and out of the blue I stick my hands on my head. Dustin thought I was nuts! I laughed for days.

It's become a sign in my house that I'm being stupid, Rob will just look at me funny and put his hands on his head.
