Maggie,
I believe our British correspondent once told us, those hats could, in the case of emergency, to be used to pith/in !!

Maggie,
Pith helmits are called such because the folk that wear them are generally pithy in nature, stiff upper lip and all that. As Moosians, we qualify, unless you are posting on the T threads. Definately not pithy notes there!

Excerpts from Maggie:

>Best part of the expedition - we get to wear Pith Hats!

Helmuts -- like Helmut Schmidt! Not hats!

>Are they called pith hats because in extreme dry/desert conditions you can use
>them to collect pith?

NO -- they're called that because under difficult circumstances you can pith in them! (But first you have to fill in the holes w/Pitch -- in those zones where there's a lot of pine trees they're called pitch helmuts)

Speculation -- Internet is concentrated in zones of accelerated technical development -- industrial/technical areas accelerated by WW II (you named mostly allies from that conflict) -- possibily also represents concentrated areas of reborn Atlanteans

Yes. Can email Session if you want.

Seth enthusiasts might want to buy a house with a good CP nearby -- not sure anyone else would (UFO enthusiasts?)

???Who knows??? IMHO, I don't think so

Ah!  You are talking about the Cyberspace Coordination Points! :)
When we talk of Earth Coordination Points, we include places like Egypt (the great pyramids), Stonehenge, Easter Island, The Bermuda Triangle, and so forth.  Some of these places may not be too computerized...

Now, I've got this WONDERFUL picture in my mind about someone going through computer networks, armed with a Pith Helmet, hunting for the Cyberspace Coordinate Points!
