The Sethworks Mooseum Addendum

Welcome to The SETHWORKS Mooseum Addendum.  This page is reserved for additional comments about our choice of the word "Moose"  which came in after Anna V. had coined the word "Mooseum" and compiled the file for us.

Hi James!

You haven't heard from me in a loooong time...
But hey, I'm still around!

I just visited your Mooseum.  It was a great idea to include it on your Web page!  BTW wasn't it Anna's idea to call it Mooseum?  Oh well, I can't remember.

[I replied: "Indeed it was.  It's out there with Anna's blessing and the rest of the group's blessing." -JNT]

Now, while browsing through it, I was reminded of another aspect about "Moose" that Uschi, a friend of mine, pointed out to me, once I told her about Sethian = Moose.  I'm not sure, if someone on the List already mentioned it, but I thought I'll tell you, in case no one else thought of it yet:

My friend thought that "Moose" is an excellent choice, because "Moose" is one of the very few words in the English language, which exists in only one form. So you have to use the same word for singular, plural, female and male objects.

And therefore "Moose" is a beautiful double-symbol, expressing the equality of men and women as well as the oneness of the individuum with the community of all beings. :-)

Ever since she told me that, I think that "Moose" was really a wonderful choice!

Andy

<<repeated text removed>>

I just wanted to say that more wisdom comes out of James Evan's moose mouth than he is aware of.  There he was calling everything "moose" from infancy onwards, pointing to things and saying "moose" while mommy said "No, dear, that is a large, bald man in a workshirt."  When people said "James, why do you think the sky is blue?", "moose" would inevitably fall out of his mouth.  There he was carrying around this magical word for years, in a land where they have barely seen this wonderful beast.  Moose, moose, moose, he muttered... until the doctors thought he was just slightly off, (to which he responsed MOOSE!).  But one fateful day, he "accidentally" stumbled upon Seth, (MOK the book had to be thrown at him from a book club), tripped over to the computer, fell into SETHWORKS and out tumbled the magical word to its final home.  MOOSE! he cried.  And there was much rejoicing.

James, I believe your life-long mission is accomplished and your cloud awaits you. :)  (But don't leave yet, we'll miss you!)

Denise V.
