Pack 91 is for all boys (grades 1 through 5) who attend Oak Ridge Elementary School in Harleysville. A sign-up will be held on Thursday, September 28 at 7:00 PM at the school. You can also email the scoutmaster at Jackleit@aol.com
The annual registration fee is $35. There are no other dues, unless the den decides to collect money for a particular activity. The registration fee includes a year's subscription to Boy's Life magazine, and covers awards and other materials for Pack meetings.
In addition to the dues, each scout also needs a uniform. For the tigers, the uniform is a tiger cub t-shirt and hat. For the other scouts, we require the standard scout shirt and neckerchief. Additional details will be provided by your den leader.
OK, so you weren't really wondering how you could help, because you are already busy with a million other things. However, unlike a lot of other activities your children may be involved in, cub scouting is a family activity. All family members are encouraged to attend our pack meetings. Parents are expected to participate in some capacity: if you're not comfortable with a role of den leader, maybe you can be a committee member, or perhaps a Blue-Gold banquet coordinator. (For a better idea of the positions that are needed to run the pack, see Leadership.) Ideas, materials, and training are readily available- all you need is the desire to help. There will be no pack without active participation of the parents. The boys thanks you for your support!
