Danilo De-Maria's Piet in Switzerland

Danilo De-Maria reports . . .

Bellinzona, Switzerland
December, 1998

Dear Grant,

Enclosed I send you a picture of my Piet project as it looked some months ago.

At this moment the wings are finished and ready for the loading test (as requested by our Federal Office of Civil Aviation.)

Because my Piet is the first to be built in my country, before starting the project, as requested from our FOCA, I have provided all the structural calculations (wing, wing struts, tail surfaces, fuselage and motor mounts.)

Before next spring I will provide the engine installation. (The engine is a rare FIAT A50 Radial, 7 cylinders of 90 hp will be ready to run in a few months.)

I'm sorry for my poor English; I hope you are able to "debug" my letter . . .

With the best regards,

Danilo De-Maria

It's now being reconditioned and will be mounted on my Piet.
