The first Zeltron to appear in the Marvel series was, of course, Dani in issue 70, "The Stenax Shuffle." Later in issue 95, Jo Duffy introduced Bahb, Jahn, Marruc and Rahuhl, Princess Leia's wacky Zeltron aides, who would help Leia into and out of all sorts of trouble. Finally, the Star Warriors paid a visit to the Zeltron homeworld Zeltros, ruled by King Arno and Queen Leonie in issue 104.

To check out the first appearances of Dani and some of her fellow Zeltrons in "Fool's Bounty" volume 5 of Star Wars: A Long Time Ago..., Dark Horse Comics' reprint series of the entire Marvel run. Subsequent volumes, including #6, "Wookiee World", and #7, "Far, Far Away", reprint the rest of the stories mentioned above.

Don't miss issue one of Star Wars Gamer magazine or the Ultimate Alien Anthology supplement both of which contains official stats for the Zeltrons using Wizards of the Coast's D20 system. Zeltros is the subject of a WOTC Planet Hoppers article that describes the world's denizens and the planet's strategic importance in post-Return of the Jedi history.

Zeltrons

From the journals of Krin Koda:

"We've finally made starfall off of Zeltros. We're four days behind schedule and low on supplies, but I don't regret a single minute of the delay. It's been a long time since I've had so much fun on shore leave.

"I have, of course, heard rumors about Zeltrons, but nothing could've prepared me for the actuality of meeting them. They're very similar to genetically pure humans except in one important respect. Their skin color runs the whole spectrum of reds from mauve to purple to lilac to pink. I must say, it does suit them. In general, Zeltrons seem to be slightly taller than average humans, but that might be because they're all incredibly fit. During my stay I consumed mass quantities of food and drink. While I put on a couple kilos, my guide, Feybyan, seemed unaffected by most of what we ate and drank including one rather potent concoction that he would describe only as 'green'. I would speculate that they have an advanced cardiovascular system and a hyperactive metabolism. In any case, they don't get hangovers either. Lucky bastards.

"Their biology has well adapted them to their most common pastime: having fun. To call Zeltrons hedonistic would be a gross understatement. They'll do anything or go anywhere as long as it seems like a good time. I don't wish to imply that they're completely frivolous. Just mostly frivolous. That said, many of the Zeltrons I encountered were bright, intelligent and curious about some of my advanced technologies and news of the outside galaxy.

"I did observe a bit of Zeltron culture that I had not heard about. Wrong a Zeltron and you've got an enemy for life. While brunching at the Pink Pfarfin Bar and Grill, I observed a young Zeltron attack a disreputable Corellian trader. The Zeltron was not much more than a child really, but the cold and brutal manner in which he dispatched the trader was quite chilling. Wisely, I chose not to get involved. Feybyan later explained that the trader had murdered the boy's father in a dispute over a card game many seasons back, and the boy had been waiting for the Corellian to return to Zeltros.

"However, I've found Zeltrons to be an affable and friendly people. I'm not sure I could manage their style of life on a permanent basis, but once I get rid of that damn medallion, I plan on returning."
