How, you are probably thinking, do you get from "Jesse James" to "Hesse James"??? The answer is actually very simple: What Jesse James was in the Wild West of America, Hesse James is in the Wild East of Frankfurt. No, they don't hold people in awe with colts, but with merciless blues guitar riffs. To do this, Gregor Kokorski (guitar, vocals), Thomas Jäger (drums) and Marius Fara (Bass) have gotten together in a classic threesome.
In their currently four-hour program, they offer an excursion through the music of legendary guitarists, from Eric Clapton via B.B. King, Gary Moore, Robert Cray, Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter, to Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) and Stevie Ray Vaughan, on whom the particular emphasis of their performances rests.
This musical framework thus encompasses all variations of the blues, beginning with soft, melodious pieces like "Blue Jean Blues", "Texas Flood" and "The Sky Is Crying" through swinging shuffles like "Tush", "She Loves My Automobile", "Look At Little Sister" and "Further On Up The Road" all the way to rock 'n' roll classics like "Johnny B. Good", "Long Tall Sally" and "Good Golly Miss Molly" down to straight rock tunes like "Shadow Play".
This musical experience can hardly be described in words and can only be conveyed acoustically.
The Hesse James Blues Band therefore recommends: Listen to us!!!
