The following are instructions to subscribe to the SAMUEL Listserv.

• To participate, you must first subscribe to the list.

• To do this, send the following e-mail:

To: LISTSERV@HOME.EASE.LSOFT.COM

cc: (your option)

Subj: (anything)

In the first line of text, enter "SUB SAMUEL Firstname Lastname", using your real first and last names.

Send the message.

• The ListServ will then send you a subscription confirmation message that you MUST reply to within 48 hours. Read it carefully, it explains exactly how the reply must be formatted.

• If all goes well, the List Server will then send you a subscription completed advisory message, a letter explaining some of the more advanced options (including mail options), and a "Welcome ot the SAMUEL" letter which will provide an overview of the history and purpose of our group.

• To post messages to the list, send the following e-mail:

To: SAMUEL@HOME.EASE.LSOFT.COM

cc: (your option)

Subj: (subject of your message)

• PLEASE NOTE that the e-mail address for posting messages to the list is different from the e-mail address to subscribe to the list. After you have successfully subscribed to the list, you will very seldom need to use the LISTSERV@HOME.EASE.LSOFT.COM address.

• If you have any problems, send e-mail to: wlaud@ix.netcom.com. There is an E-mail link you may use for this on the SAMUEL page.
