This page highlights links from the other astronomy pages which I think are
written especially well for young people.
-
Kidipede - History for Kids - Europe, Asia, and Africa before 1500 AD
Prof. Karen Carr, Portland State Univeristy. Includes some history of astronomy.
-
Odyssey Online Michael C. Carlos Museum, Emory University.
A children's online section for exploring the art and cultures of ancient
civilizations. This isn't specifically about astronomy.
- Traditions of the Sun
This website lets you virtually explore two ancient native American archeology regions:
Chaco Canyon, and several Mayan cities of the Yucatan in Mexico. There is some astronomy
background in how the sites were layed out and used. Sponsored by NASA.
Some museums and planetariums also offer various programs for young people.
