About Dolores Beck-Schwartz

Dolores is a full time professional horn player and founder/musical director of Sound of the Horn Publications. In 1989 she founded the Top Brass (French Horn choir), a group which provides a "truly unique" place where horn players can meet to study and improve ensemble performance in a wide variety of styles. She has earned a degree from the Manhattan School of Music as well as a Music Therapy degree from S.U.N.Y. New Paltz. She has been a member of the American Ballet Theatre Orchestra, American Symphony Orchestra, New Jersey Symphony. Dolores, who resides in Putnam Valley, New York is also a private music teacher and has a growing practice specializing in in-home Music Therapy. Dolores and her husband Gary Schwartz own and run Sound of the Horn Publications, a desktop publishing business dedicated to furthering printed music repertoire for the French Horn.
