Venice, Italy 1995 I suppose if you ventured this far, you have nothing better to do with your time than to read a little about me. I am a single retired high school teacher, living in Holmes Beach, Florida, a small beach community located on Anna Maria Island. For 29 years I taught Social Studies at Manatee High School in Bradenton Florida before retiring in 1989. Florida first became my home in 1959 after teaching in my native state of West Virginia for one year. Prior to that I grew up in Elkins, West Virginia, graduated from Elkins High School, and in 1956 earned a B.A. in History and Political Science from Davis and Elknis College in Elkins. Shortly after my graduataion I was drafted for service in the U.S. Army and served for two years, for the most part in Frankfurt Germany. After military service I began my career in teaching at Coalton High School in Coalton West Virginia. My major interests at the present time are in computing and travel. I have been forturnate to make three trips to Europe since my retirement, and hope to go again this year. During the college football season, Florida State University games take up my Saturdays. Not much else to say, but if you would like to look at the family album
