Here's one of Larry's four bangers. |
Larry's Speedster in January of '92. |
We probably met at Brodhead. I was back there, then on to Oshkosh with my dad, Jack McKinney. That was the year with 26 Piets at Brodhead, then on to Oshkosh with 18 or so. He flew it in the Parade of flight.
Dad just came over to Corona for the 2nd Annual Piet fly-in. It wasn't as well attended as least year, but we had a good time anyway.
I saw one of your tee shirts and asked about it. He said you put them out. I had heard your name and other info was on the web, so I had a friend check it out.
He brought it over yesterday, so here's an order for two XL's.
I'm an 'A' owner since '59, MAFCA members since '81, Forever Four Cylinder Club since '91, and charter member of SOSS.
Pilot since '81, but not active for many years. I helped Dad with 'A' engine parts and rebuilding during construction of his Piet.

Larry has plenty of ways to "make 'em breathe."
(I spotted that Pietenpol pin on his shop wall, so marked it with a red arrow. gem)
