(April 17, 2006) Someone was here. We're not dead, yet. In fact we just got quoted in an Inc. Magazine profile on Jake Burton Carpenter. Believe it. Check out the 1994 entry on the timeline.
One thing was added, changed, or corrected here on March 28, 1996.Hi! Welcome to our never changing page of stagnant death. Thanks for stopping by. We realize we've basically shot ourselves in the foot. We promise, promise, promise, and then never deliver. Which is exactly what our high school principal used to say to us. "You guys have so much potential and it almost makes me cry to see you wasting your education like this," he said. "When will you learn to apply yourselves."
Our answer was always the same. "As soon as we have to." But time is obviously running out. Soon, no one will visit our page and we'll sink into obscurity. We never really like being successful anyway. It makes people's expectations too high.
Hey, look. Something sort of new here at the site. A serious interview with the founding father of snowboarding Sherman Poppen. Click on his name to read the interview.
And. . . we just updated our news page with the goings on in the snowboard business world with news about Third Rail being sold, Morrow's year end numbers and a bunch of other stuff that should make the bean counters excited. So check out the Snooze Paper right now.
Here's a harsh review of that snowboard magazine stick that's made several people think we're "just jealous." Which is what defensive people always say when they hear the truth.
We're working on a new issue, but it's really no use saying anything about it until it's done. So we won't. Cheers!
