Wynewood is best known for one of the few remaining small town refineries in Oklahoma. The Kerr McGee plant is located in the south part of town and dominates the skyline. It is still a customer of the BNSF.

Special Thanks to Rick Duncan for providing this image of a dearly departed depot.

This photo was taken in 1984. At that time the Santa Fe was very agressive in the closing of its remaining agencies at that date. This agency looks like it is either closed or about to be closed. There are rumors that a portion of this depot was moved to Pauls Valley. At any rate it is no longer onsite.

The G.C.&S.F. depots in Oklahoma were much larger than their A.T.&S.F. counterparts. Wynnewood was no exception. Note the large passenger room.
