Marietta is the last major stop before the Red River and the Texas line for crack passenger trains. There is very little in this town other than a cookie factory. It is one of the many small farming communities in Oklahoma.
This unique depot is now used as a community museum. The town is very small but is a county seat. For this reason it received a substantial depot. One wonders if a frame depot could have been substituted for this structure if it weren't for the town's county seat status.
