8:40am No. 57 Doodlebug to Topeka from St. Joseph
3:27pm No.58 Doodlebug to St. Joesph from Topeka
It must have been strange to ride this train through Atchison. The doodlebug stopped not only at the passenger depot but also the freight depot. The Missouri Pacific yard was located adjacent to the Santa Fe tracks. See page 25 Wheat Lines and Super Freights by Joe McMillian for additional photos of this area.

This structure looks similar to some of the buildings at the Topeka shops area. Constructed of stone this was probably one of the first freight depots on the railroad. It is located several blocks from of the passenger depot. It is now a museum. There are many historical items from the history of this old town. There is even an operational large Santa Fe red neon sign displayed.
