Pauline is located on the outskirts of Topeka in the Southwest part of town. Next door is Forbes Field. This is the home of the famous Topeka Railroad Days. This annual Labor Day event celebrates Topeka's railroad history. Excursion trains leave from Pauline and from the Santa Fe (Amtrak) depot downtown. FP45's have been reunited with Super Chief Regal Series sleepers, the Frisco 1522 steamer has pulled a varied consist to Emporia, Super Fleet locomotives even pulled an all Santa Fe streamlined train including the Santa Fe Big Dome as one of the last Santa Fe passenger trains to ever operate. It is an event that should not be missed.

Pauline can best be described as one of the more senic points on the Santa Fe. You have to use a little imagination today but cantilever mounted semaphore signals still protect the station siding. The imagination comes in because the depot has been moved (see below.)
The Pauline depot has been lovingly restored and moved to a secluded spot just northwest of downtown in Ward-Meade park at 124 N. W. Filmore in Topeka. A strange baggage room was removed from this depot when it was moved to this park in 1983. It is shown in Mc Millian's Wheat Lines and Super Freights on page 28 painted in a tasteless light blue and white. De Soto also had one of these unusual freight rooms.
