Sublette is where the Mixed trains to and from Dodge City met. It is typical of most towns on the line. A small struggling downtown, a midsized grain elevator by the main highway, and homes.
This depot has been moved to the northeast side of town and is a part of a museum complex. The depot is now shrowded in aluminum siding and the waiting room wall is flush with the main museum complex. There are a few railroad items inside but the majority of items are community antiques and artifacts. There is a period fire engine in the main two story museum shown in the right portion of this photo.
