Kipling kicked off with the wind on the cold and cloudy afternoon of the plate final, but were soon put under pressure by an early corner which was quickly cleared. A few minutes later Thomas S. fired a great shot, but it was punched over by the keeper. Then, Kotick went up a goal when Luke N. ran half the length of the pitch, and slid the ball to the right of the keeper, who was helpless!

After the ball hit him in the nose Luke had a nose bleed, and was substituted for a minute. Michael C.-who came on-was soon brought back off after great play. After a speedy run by Kipling, Iain made a smashing save. Thomas went on an excellent run and forced a corner Jonathan was unlucky from it. Also there were good passes to the forward men by Philip and Ashley and great runs by Andrew and Matthew C. The half time score was 1-0 to Kotick.

Early into the second half Luke N. put the ball past the keeper, but before the ball crossed the line Mathew S. knocked it in-only to be offside! Robert was injured due to a tripping up. He was substituted, but soon was back on the pitch to lead the attack. After some great clearances from Lewis, Nicholas and Jonathan. Thomas hit a screamer which went inches wide. A few seconds later, as the ball flew into the Kipling box, a defender caught it, then dropped it, as if it were a hot potato. The Referee pointed to the penalty spot! The ball flew into the net from Thomas S's penalty. In a matter of seconds Kipling had chipped the ball round lain, and into the net. Then replying once more, Luke put it to the right of the keeper, bringing back the two goal margin, but danger was coming up ahead-a free kick near the Kotick box. It was kicked, passed, and lobbed over Iain's body, into the goal. The match was on a knife edge until Luke N. completed his hat-trick in the final minutes, sealing the victory. The final score, 4-2 (to Kotick) and the Man of the Match trophy went to Iain.

All the Subs, including Mathew S. and Michael C. all contributed to the result.
