1st to 3rd October 1999 - Third Dads and Lads Activity Camp, Raywell Park

Another autumn camp was rewarded with the inevitable Friday night down pour, but undetered the boys braved the monsoon conditions to enjoy an exciting weekend at Raywell Park.  Saturday was drier and the weather allowed the rest of the weekend's events to continue unhindered.  Archery, Air Rifle Shooting and the Climbing Wall were Saturday's highlights, followed by Backwoods Cooking on Sunday morning.  All great fun!

23rd June 1999 - Second Melting Pot Challenge, South Cave

23rd to 25th April 1999 - Dads and Lads Activity Camp, Raywell Park

Following last Autumn's successful Activity Camp a second event was held in April.  Cubs and Scouts were invited and many brought along their Dads for a weekend of challenging activities at Raywell Park.  A report of the camp has been submitted by one of the cubs - click here to read it.

25th April 1999 - St. George's Day Parade, St. Mary's, Cottingham

The traditional Scouting celebration of St. George's Day took place this year at St. Mary's Church in the centre of Cottingham.  1st Cottingham Scout Group were the hosts and the service was preceeded by a procession of Scouts, Cubs and Beavers down Hallgate, parading behind their Group flags.  3rd Cottingham Scouts and Cubs returned from the Activity Camp to take part in this event - an excellent turnout was the result.  See photographs of 3rd Cottingham marching by clicking here.
