Kotick Cubs - Haltemprice District

There are a dozen Scout Groups in Haltemprice District supporting more than 15 Cub Packs. The District stretches from South Cave in the west to Hessle and Cottingham in the western suburbs of Hull in the east, from Skidby in the north down to the Humber Estuary. The District is part of the Scout County of Humberside which covers the area of the former administrative county of the same name. In April 1996 the administrative county was broken up into two main parts, East Yorkshire north of the River Humber and North Lincolnshire south of the river. The Scout County however remains straddling the river as it has since its creation in 1974.

The District is proud of the number of annual events for all packs to participate in.  There is at least one District Event for nine months of the year. Events include Chess, Lego and Campcraft Competitions, a Swimming Gala and a five-a-side football competitions. Up until 2002 there was also a District Cubs Football League involving over 100 cubs each Saturday during the winter.
