This is Al's picture of me taking a picture of the Wye. The Keddie Wye is interesting because both branches of it are on bridges. And, the switch is right at the exit of a tunnel. So you leave the tunnel, burst out into the sunlight and fresh air, and suddenly you're a hundred feet over a gorge. It's great!
I think that this is on the first day's trip, so the picture is looking East and our train has just taken the Northbound switch. The other track proceeds into the Keddie maintenance yard. There is a tunnel from the maintenance yard that meets up with our track in about another quarter of a mile; it goes right through the mountain that's at the center of the photo.
