Both her parents and her husband died in 1923 2 CONC and son Fred Allison Holmes was born April 26, 1923. She married 2 CONC Calvin T. Case in 1925 and they raised 3 Holmes and 3 Case children in 2 CONC Marland, Oklahoma. She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star, and 2 CONC the Christian Church. 2 CONT 2 CONT 2 CONT Ethleen Peacock finished high school and attended Central State 2 CONC Teachers College at Edmond, OK, receiving her teacher's certificate 2 CONC and teaching school in Northern Oklahoma. During that time, she became 2 CONC engaged to Fred Holmes. In 1913, Fred was asked to manage a lumber 2 CONC yard in Tetonia, Idaho, and he asked Ethleen to follow him when school 2 CONC was out. In August, 1913, she and her brother, Virgil, traveled by 2 CONC train to Eads, CO, where Fred and Ethleen were married. Virgil 2 CONC returned to OK. and the newlyweds went to Idaho. 2 CONT 2 CONT Ethleen said, as a young bride, she hung Fred's overalls on the 2 CONC clothes line and a winter storm came up and covered them...line and 2 CONC all...and she didn't see them again until the spring thaw. Tetonia was 2 CONC a Mormon community and though the religion was not her choice, she 2 CONC learned to respect her Mormon neighbors. Doris was born in 1915 and 2 CONC Ethleen was assisted by a Mormon neighbor, who remained her lifelong 2 CONC friend. Sometime in 1916, Fred transferred back to Hillsdale, OK., 2 CONC where he took over management of a lumber company. Oct. 16, 1916, 2 CONC Lolabelle, was born. Soon afterward, Fred's work moved them to 2 CONC Marland, OK. 2 CONT 2 CONT In 1923, when Ethleen was 6 mo. pregnant with their third child, Fred 2 CONC discovered he had cancer. He left immediately for Mayo Clinic to try 2 CONC for a cure, but it was too late. He died Jan. 25, 1923, in Rochester, 2 CONC Minnesota. That same day, Ethleen's parents, Perry Allison and Rosa 2 CONC Belle (Williams) Peacock, started from Perry to Marland to spend the 2 CONC day with Ethleen and the girls. They had a car wreck and Rosa Belle 2 CONC was killed. Perry Allison was taken to the hospital in Perry. Ethleen 2 CONC went to be with him and when she returned to her home, news of Fred's 2 CONC death awaited her. 2 CONT 2 CONT Fred's body was shipped to Marland and placed in Ethleen's home while 2 CONC she was attending her mother's funeral. In her words: "When I 2 CONC returned home from Mother's funeral, I found my darling, in the living 2 CONC room, dead. I didn't think I could bear it, but I went to my bedroom, 2 CONC gathered my girls in my arms and prayed for strength. I knew I 2 CONC couldn't let this affect my unborn child and keep me from caring for 2 CONC my two little girls, and God helped me do what I had to do. I survived 2 CONC it somehow." 2 CONT 2 CONT April 1, 1923, Ethleen gave birth to Fred Allison, and named him for 2 CONC his for his father and grandfather. Then, because her father had not 2 CONC recovered from his injuries, Ethleen and children moved to the farm to 2 CONC care for him. One day she went to the barn to tell him supper was 2 CONC ready. When she found him, he had fallen down behind the barn and was 2 CONC dying. She cradled his head in her lap and he died in her arms. It 2 CONC was June 14, 1923. All these traumas...in less than six months. 2 CONT 2 CONT During Ethleen's ordeal, her eldest sister, Amy, equally affected by 2 CONC the loss of her parents, was battling TB in New Mexico, and was 2 CONC pregnant. She delivered a healthy baby girl in 1923 and named her 2 CONC Ethleen, but because of TB, couldn't nurse her. Since Ethleen was 2 CONC nursing Fred, Amy contacted her to see if she would nurse both babies. 2 CONC They didn't know Ethleen had developed "milk fever" and undergone 2 CONC surgery on one breast, rendering it milkless. However, Ethleen took 2 CONC her family, moved to Las Cruces, lived with Amy and Earl Harvey, 2 CONC nursed both babies, helped with Amy's care, and the babies were fat 2 CONC and healthy. Ethleen commented she never worked harder in her life, 2 CONC and never felt better. She weighed 120 lbs. Her normal weight before 2 CONC and after that was 103. 2 CONT 2 CONT After she weaned the babies, she returned to Marland, got a job in a 2 CONC drug store, and began a new life. In 1925, she met a bachelor, Calvin 2 CONC Theodore Case, who was night watchman who escorted her to her home 2 CONC after working late at night. She later married him. He had built a 2 CONC nice two story home a few years earlier, and he moved his new wife and 2 CONC family into his home, life and heart. Between 1926 and 1929, Calvin 2 CONC and Ethleen had three boys, effectively filling up the new house. 2 CONC After that, Ethleen led a busy life as a wife and mother. 2 CONT 2 CONT Amy (Peacock) Harvey died in 1928 of TB. There was no cure. 2 CONT 2 CONT The "Great Depression" happened just as the Cases were raising their 2 CONC children and times were hard, but Ethleen used her teaching abilities 2 CONC to give her children many educational advantages. Because she was a 2 CONC multi-talented woman, especially adept at public speaking, all her 2 CONC children, even the shy ones, were expected to perform readings at 2 CONC schools, Sunday School and other social meetings. Thankfully, the 2 CONC years following 1923 were much happier for Ethleen and when she died 2 CONC on her birthday at 91 years of age, she left a great heritage. All her 2 CONC family recognizes the unique contribution she made to their lives. 2 CONT 2 CONT Calvin and Ethleen were members of Marland Christian Church, 2 CONC (Disciples of Christ) throughout their lives. Calvin was a Mason and 2 CONC both he and Ethleen belonged to The Order of the Eastern Star where 2 CONC they served the chapter as Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron, more than 2 CONC once, and Ethleen earned her her 50-year pin. Ethleen served in the 2 CONC position of Chaplain, for as long as the chapter remained in Marland. 2 CONT 2 CONT The Calvin Cases had been married fifty-four years when Calvin, age 2 CONC 94, fell and broke his hip. He successfully underwent surgery, but he 2 CONC developed a blood clot and quietly went to sleep September 15, 1980. 2 CONT 2 CONT Ethleen continued to live alone in the house Calvin built for her 2 CONC until about six months before her death with cancer of the kidney. 2 CONC Ethleen Peacock Holmes Case was a fighter, a woman of spiritual 2 CONC strength, courage and will power. She met life head on, solving 2 CONC problems as they arose, and she was an example of rock solid character 2 CONC to all who knew her. 2 CONT 2 CONT "A DICTIONARY OF SURNAMES", written by Patrick Haynes and Flavia 2 CONC Hodges, published by Oxford Press, lists Peacock as: English: A 2 CONC nickname for a vain strutting person or for a dandy. In some cases it 2 CONC may be a house name from a house distinguished by the sign of a 2 CONC peacock. Vars.: Peacocke, Peecock, Pacock, Pocock(e); Paw, Pay, Powe: 2 CONC Poe, Pea, Pee. 2 CONT 2 CONT Many times Ethleen showed her vanity as all women do. She was a 2 CONC beautiful young woman, and by the time her hair was white as snow, she 2 CONC had matured into a beautiful old lady. She often described her 2 CONC brother, Virgil Peacock as a "dandy" and it seems he was; in the true 2 CONC sense of the word. When I first read the description in this book, I 2 CONC felt it was harsh, but when examined using literal meanings of the 2 CONC words vain, strutting, dandy, I found they all probably contributed to 2 CONC the rock solid individual Ethleen Peacock became. 2 CONT 2 CONT Written from memories of: (1993) 2 CONT Velma Colleen (Ray) Case, daughter-in-law. 2 CONT 2 CONT 1 SOUR @S43@ 2 PAGE Personal Knowledge. 1 SOUR @S45@ 2 PAGE Personal Knowledge and Interviews. 1 BIRT 2 DATE 15 FEB 1891 2 PLAC Page Co., IA 1 DEAT 2 DATE 15 FEB 1982 2 PLAC Ponca City, Kay Co., OK 1 BURI 2 PLAC IOOF Cemetery Ponca City, Kay Co., OK 1 RELI Marland Christian Church (Desciples of Christ) 1 FAMS @F2@ 1 FAMC @F4@ 0 @I5@ INDI 1 NAME Coe William /CASE/ 2 GIVN Coe William 2 SURN CASE 1 SEX M 1 NOTE Summary: 2 CONT The family lived in Missouri for a time, then in Marissa, Ill. They 2 CONC then moved to Kansas. Later, Coe and his family moved into the 2 CONC Cherokee strip area of Oklahoma, which had been opened in 1893. Coe 2 CONC William Case leased Ponca Indian land from Martin Blueback in 1899. 2 CONC The land was in the middle of the 101 Ranch northwest of Marland, 2 CONC Okla. He met Martin Blueback at St. Lawrence, Kan. where he was going 2 CONC to college. (Coe was believed to have lived for a time in Lawrence 2 CONC with his aunt and uncle Celia and William Gibson.) Later, he bought 2 CONC the land and farmed it until retired. The farm is still owned by the 2 CONC family, Warren Case, as of 1996. Coe William Case did some genealogy 2 CONC work in early 1930's. He was Man of the Day at the 1930 50th 2 CONC anniversary of RR into Albuequerque, as he had contracted RR work on 2 CONC it in 1880. Coe William Case traveled frequently by hitch-hiking, and 2 CONC when 75 years old, hitch-hiked from his home in Marland, Oklahoma, to 2 CONC the 1930 celebration in Albuquerque. His sister, Anna Jane Case 2 CONC McCord, wrote a poem to him on his 75th birthday. When he was 77 he 2 CONC hitchhiked to Marissa, Ill, his childhood home. 2 CONT 2 CONT More detail: 2 CONT Coe William Case and his aunts did some genealogy work in the 1930's 2 CONC which has been most helpful to later generations...perhaps saving the 2 CONC family history from being entirely lost. There were errors, however in 2 CONC the ancestry of Daniel Case of Newburg, his great grandfather. 2 CONT 2 CONT In July, 1930, he wrote his memoirs: 2 CONT 2 CONT "Reminincies of a sojourn in the Rio Grande Valley in 1879 and 1880, 2 CONC at the Golden Jubilee, in Albuquerque, New Mexico." by C. W. Case, Sr. 2 CONT 2 CONT "In the fall of the year 1879, at Lawrence, Kansas; I made the 2 CONC acquaintance of a railroad contractor, Mr. L. R. Perkins, who was 2 CONC assembling a grading crew preparatory to shipping to the Rio Grande 2 CONC Valley, where he had a contract to construct twenty miles of grading. 2 CONC He engaged me and I shipped with him to the end of the railroad track 2 CONC below Las Vegas. Here I began laying track, with the rest of the 2 CONC company and continued until we reached Glorietta Pass, which was about 2 CONC Christmas; when I again met Mr. Perkins and proceeded with him to his 2 CONC contract, which lay between Algodones and Albuquerque. This job did 2 CONC not furnish steady work for me, so my employer proposed that I throw 2 CONC in grade with a shovel at 11 cents per yard. I experimented and when 2 CONC I found that I could make nearly double our days wages at this, I 2 CONC subbed a fourth of a mile for him, running a two to five foot grade. I 2 CONC hired two men to help me one of which I took in as a partner." 2 CONT 2 CONT "This work lay between Algodones and Bernalilloa and we completed it 2 CONC about the first of February, at which time the track overtook us. I 2 CONC worked on the track construction and assisted in the laying of the 2 CONC steel into what was then the Villa of Alburquerque. Particularly, I 2 CONC remember we layed steel across the river bridge south of town, on the 2 CONC ninteenth day of April 1880." 2 CONT 2 CONT "At Isletta, and Indian town south of the river bridge, our 2 CONC construction was brought to a very abrupt halt be the Indians. The 2 CONC Indians had not yet been compensated, by the railroad, for the loss 2 CONC sustained to a vineyard and the town site, and would accept no 2 CONC compromise until they were paid. This caused us to suspend work for a 2 CONC few days, until repartations had been made." 2 CONT 2 CONT "Many amusing incidents happened to us there on the Rio Grande. The 2 CONC Indians were very timid and would not approach the locomotive. It was 2 CONC a Monster to them. On one ocassion however, we induced a couple of 2 CONC braves to mount the engine, while a few hundred of them stood in line 2 CONC at a safe distance of a hundred yards away. The Brave rang the bell 2 CONC and blew the whistle; their comrades ran like antelopes." 2 CONT 2 CONT "While hunting down the river one day, a companion and I heard a great 2 CONC splash in the water and were at a loss to know what was the cause. 2 CONC Presently, we heard the same theing again and upon investigation we 2 CONC decided it was a beaver, although we had never seen one before. I 2 CONC shot one before he dived and took him to camp, where the question 2 CONC arose, Is he good to eat? The cook said to dress him and we all had 2 CONC plenty of Beaver for once." 2 CONT 2 CONT "While in camp we occupied a tent which was 40 feet wide by 60 in 2 CONC length with a 6 foot wall lined with double bunks. In this tent there 2 CONC were about 75 or 80 men quartered. Through the center ran a dining 2 CONC table which was generally used at night for card playing and other 2 CONC games of amusement. On one occasion when most of the boys had retired 2 CONC the ones who had not made so much racket that an objection was made. 2 CONC This only made matters worse and in a few minutes the whole camp was 2 CONC up in a general pandamonium. Everything that could be used to make a 2 CONC racket was used. Road slips were pounded with a hammer, as were tubs, 2 CONC pans, boxes and barrels and no less than 75 or 100 rounds of ammuntion 2 CONC was fired off in the air. When the crowd had worn itself out a band 2 CONC of about 20 Mexicans from the town of Algodones appeared on the scene. 2 CONC This was about one oclock. We made it appear to them that we had 2 CONC been having serious trouble and that two or three of the men lay out 2 CONC on the right of way and that the cook was in a bad shape in his bunk. 2 CONC We told them we were in a quandary as to what to do for a cook. The 2 CONC Mexicans suggested that they might help us out in that respect, and we 2 CONC informed them that if they could find 5 or 6 good Senioretts we could 2 CONC make good use of them. They agreed to furnish them if we would permit 2 CONC their consorts to accompany them. Which was granted. The Mexicans 2 CONC wanted to see the cook and see how badly he was hurt, when he turned 2 CONC over in his bunk and said that he would be able to show the new cooks 2 CONC how to go about their duties." 2 CONT 2 CONT "Many times during the winter of 1880 the camp fires of Geranimo, the 2 CONC Apache Indian chief were visible from out quarters, to the south of 2 CONC Alburqueque. In January of that winter the Indians had made a raid on 2 CONC a sheep ranch and killed several herders and drove off many of their 2 CONC sheep. The ranch owners came to our camp to colicite help in chasing 2 CONC the Indians, offering us good wages and all necessary equipment, but 2 CONC very few cared to make the venture under civilian leaders. Very soon 2 CONC afterwards a detachment of United States Cavalry fromtheir Barracks at 2 CONC Santa Fe passed our camp on their way to give chase to the Indians. 2 CONC Twenty five years after that, I had the opportunity to meet the old 2 CONC Chief Geranimo, face to face, while he was a prisoner at the 101 Ranch 2 CONC in Oklahoma in the year of 1905." 2 CONT 2 CONT 2 CONT May 1, 1899, Coe William Case leased Ponca Indian land from Martin 2 CONC BlueBack of Whiteagle. The land was in the middle of the 101 Ranch in 2 CONC Oklahoma Territory near what is now Marland, Noble Co, OK and the 2 CONC family lived in a dugout until a home could be erected. Between the 2 CONC time Coe W. leased the BlueBack land and built his home, he purchased 2 CONC about 40 acres of rich bottom land, near Minco, Canadian Co., OK. The 2 CONC river nearby soon showed him who owned the land and defeated his 2 CONC farming efforts. Calvin Case, his son, then a young man, said he would 2 CONC be sent to the store for supplies, necessitating fording the river. 2 CONC Several times he was unable to ford the river on the return trip and 2 CONC had to remain on the other side until the river abated. The final 2 CONC blow came when the river flooded the farm, washing away top soil and 2 CONC all Coe William's improvements. He returned to the BlueBack land and 2 CONC later when it became available to purchase, he bought it. Coe William 2 CONC became acquainted with Martin BlueBack in Lawrence, KS, when he was 2 CONC going to college. He is believed to have lived in Lawrence, KS in the 2 CONC home of his Aunt Celia Elizabeth (Case) Gibson and Uncle William 2 CONC Gibson during that time. 2 CONT 2 CONT It was said by people in the area that Joe Miller, owner of the 101 2 CONC Ranch had a deal with the Indian agent. When one of the Indians 2 CONC wanted to sell his land, the agent told Joe Miller first and he bought 2 CONC it. Apparently Joe and Coe respected each other because when Joe 2 CONC learned Coe's land was for sale, he came to see him and asked if he 2 CONC wanted to bid on it. When Coe told him yes, he replied that since 2 CONC that was true, he would not bid on the farm. So, Coe bought the farm 2 CONC which remains in the family today. In 1996, the Coe W. Case farm is 2 CONC owned by his grandson, Warren Case, son of Albert Bryan Case. 2 CONT 2 CONT Coe William Case had the habit of hitchhiking, alone. It did not 2 CONC please his family, but it pleased him so he continued this mode of 2 CONC travel, even in his advanced years. Anna Jane (Case) McCord, a sister 2 CONC of Coe, was a poet, and she wrote this poem and mailed it to him, 2 CONC after he had just hitch-hiked to Kansas City and returned: 2 CONT 2 CONT TO COE WILLIAM CASE, ON HIS 75TH BIRTHDAY: 2 CONT 2 CONT Though three-score-five and ten today, You still go hiking along 2 CONC life's way. 2 CONT You've rounded curves and made the grade, along life's pathway to this 2 CONC age. 2 CONT While hitch-hiking may be the fad...you are much too old for this, me 2 CONC lad. 2 CONT 2 CONT If not by rail, them make the start by hitching old Dobin to the cart. 2 CONT This mode of travel may be slow, but 'twas the way you used to go. 2 CONT When you get Dobin trained just right, for sure he'll go with all his 2 CONC might. 2 CONT 2 CONT He'll know just when to leave the track, when autos pass from front or 2 CONC back. 2 CONT So don't go hiking any more and grieve yore home folks, we implore. 2 CONT Just hitch old Dobin to the cart...and take an early morning start. 2 CONT 2 CONT From your sister, ANNA JANE CASE MCCORD 2 CONT 2 CONT 1 SOUR @S23@ 1 BIRT 2 DATE 25 SEP 1855 2 PLAC Flint Hill, St. Charles Co., MO 1 DEAT 2 DATE 14 JUL 1934 2 PLAC Marland, Noble Co., OK 1 BURI 2 PLAC IOOF Cemetery Ponca City, Kay Co., OK 1 RELI Presbyterian Church 2 DATE Infancy 1 RESI 2 DATE 1899 2 PLAC Farm west of Bliss (now Marland), Noble Co., OK 1 FAMS @F3@ 1 FAMC @F5@ 0 @I6@ INDI 1 NAME Lillie Dale /FALWELL/ 2 GIVN Lillie Dale 2 SURN FALWELL 1 SEX F 1 SOUR @S23@ 1 BIRT 2 DATE 28 JUL 1862 2 PLAC Ironton, Lawrence Co., OH 1 DEAT 2 DATE 13 NOV 1938 2 PLAC Marland, Noble Co., OK 1 BURI 2 PLAC IOOF Cemetery Ponca City, Kay Co., OK 1 RELI Marland Methodist Church 1 FAMS @F3@ 1 FAMC @F34@ 0 @I7@ INDI 1 NAME Calvin Theodore /CASE/ 2 GIVN Calvin Theodore 2 SURN CASE 2 NSFX Jr 1 SEX M 1 TITL Jr 1 FAMC @F2@ 0 @I8@ INDI 1 NAME Robert Alan /Case/ 2 GIVN Robert Alan 2 SURN Case 1 SEX M 1 FAMC @F2@ 0 @I9@ INDI 1 NAME Perry Allison /PEACOCK/ 2 GIVN Perry Allison 2 SURN PEACOCK 1 SEX M 1 BIRT 2 DATE 10 AUG 1860 2 PLAC Scott Co., IN 1 DEAT 2 DATE 14 JUN 1923 2 PLAC Perry, Noble Co., OK 2 NOTE Died of a heart attack while recovering from the results of Auto 3 CONC Accident near Marland, Oklahoma. He came from Holland in 1652. He first settled in Brooklyn, 2 CONC NY, near Fulton Street Ferry, and later in the village of Bedford, 2 CONC Brooklyn township. In 6 Apr 1677, he purchased land in Flatbush. In 2 CONC 1687 he was elected "Commisioner," serving until 1701. It is supposed 2 CONC that his grave is either in the old Dutch church-yard at Brooklyn, or 2 CONC on his "bowery" homestead at Bedford. 2 CONT 2 CONT !NOTE: The Will of Elias Dorlandt (RIN 2108), as spelled in full on 2 CONC page 73 of "The Dorland Family in America", by John Dorland Cremer, 2 CONC 1898, gives the name of Garrit Dorland as "my cousin" as one of the 2 CONC "Overseers." Cremer expands on the concept that Lambert Janse Dorlandt 2 CONC and Jan Gerretse Dorlandt are brothers as follows: "The reference to 2 CONC "cousin Garrit" as one of the overseers furnishes strong confirmation 2 CONC of the tradition linking Jan Gerretse Dorlandt and Lambert Janse 2 CONC Dorlandt together as brothers. According to our best information this 2 CONC "cousin Garrit" could have been none other than Gerret Janse Dorlandt, 2 CONC son of Lambert Janse Dorlandt. So far as known, there were but two 2 CONC Gerret Dorlandts of adult age on Long Island at that date - Gerret 2 CONC Gerretse, brother of Elias, and Gerret Janse, cousin. Gerret Janse was 2 CONC then about 26 years old. The Middle names of both Gerrets were often 2 CONC dropped. They do not appear in the recored of oaths of allegiance in 2 CONC 1687. Gerret Gerretse, who took the oath at Flatbush is set down by 2 CONC the enumerator as simply "Gerrit Dorlant native," and Gerret Janse, 2 CONC who took the oath at Brooklyn, is set down likewise as "Gerrit Dorlant 2 CONC native." !SOURCE: "The Dorlandt Family in America," John Dorland 2 CONC Creamer, Washington, D.C., 1898, pages 35-42. Copy held by Carl L. 2 CONC Durling. 2 CONT 2 CONT !NOTE: In contrast to the above analysis by John Dorland Cremer that 2 CONC Lambert Janse Dorlandt and Jans Gerretse Dorlandt were brothers, 2 CONC another research found otherwise. J. Daams, Grindsingel 23, 2 CONC Kartenhoef, Holland, whose mother was a Dorland, did research in 2 CONC Holland that seems to prove otherwise. His extensive research of 2 CONC Holland records traces the Dorlandt line bact to a Splinter Van Ruwiel 2 CONC born in 1298. He shows in his research that Lambert Janse Dorlandt is 2 CONC actually the greatgrandson of Marten Dorlant (RIN 5456), and, 2 CONC therefore, would be the 2nd cousin once removed of Jan Gerretse 2 CONC Dorlandt. 2 CONT 2 CONT !NOTE: His name is on the assessment roll of Brooklyn township in 2 CONC 1657, and on April 6, 1677, he purchased meadow lot No. 18 in 2 CONC Flatbush. In 1687 he subscribed to the oath of allegiance to the 2 CONC English government, and in that year was elected town commissioner of 2 CONC Brooklyn, continuing to fill that office, which was equivalent to the 2 CONC modern town supervisor, until 1701 or later. 1 SOUR @S31@ 1 BIRT 2 DATE 1629 2 PLAC Holland 1 ENDL 2 DATE 21 MAR 1946 2 TEMP ARIZO 1 BAPL 2 DATE 11 NOV 1945 2 TEMP ARIZO 1 REFN TheBkPg35 1 FAMS @F59@ 0 @I258@ INDI 1 NAME Rosanna /DURLAND/ 2 GIVN Rosanna 2 SURN DURLAND 1 SEX F 1 NOTE Ancestor of Jeri Miller (see sources). 1 SOUR @S13@ 1 FAMC @F55@ 0 @I259@ INDI 1 NAME Carel /de Beauvoise/ 2 GIVN Carel 2 SURN de Beauvoise 1 SEX M 1 DEAT 2 DATE AFT 1659 1 FAMS @F60@ 0 @I260@ INDI 1 NAME Sophia /VAN LODENSTEYN/ 2 GIVN Sophia 2 SURN VAN LODENSTEYN 1 SEX F 1 DEAT 2 DATE AFT 1659 1 FAMS @F60@ 1 FAMC @F61@ 0 @I261@ INDI 1 NAME Jan /VAN LODENSTEYN/ 2 GIVN Jan 2 SURN VAN LODENSTEYN 1 SEX M 1 BIRT 2 DATE 7 OCT 1578 1 DEAT 2 DATE 17 FEB 1629 1 FAMS @F61@ 1 FAMC @F75@ 0 @I262@ INDI 1 NAME Geertruy Jansdr. /Van Ilpendam/ 2 GIVN Geertruy Jansdr. 2 SURN Van Ilpendam 1 SEX F 1 FAMS @F61@ 0 @I263@ INDI 1 NAME Henry /BIRDSALL/ 2 GIVN Henry 2 SURN BIRDSALL 1 SEX M 1 NOTE 2 CONT 1 SOUR @S22@ 1 FAMS @F62@ 1 FAMC @F63@ 0 @I264@ INDI 1 NAME Nathan /Birdsall/ 2 GIVN Nathan 2 SURN Birdsall 1 SEX M 1 FAMS @F63@ 0 @I265@ INDI 1 NAME Temperance /BALDWIN/ 2 GIVN Temperance 2 SURN BALDWIN 1 SEX F 1 FAMS @F63@ 1 FAMC @F64@ 0 @I266@ INDI 1 NAME Richard /Baldwin/ 2 GIVN Richard 2 SURN Baldwin 1 SEX M 1 BIRT 2 DATE 1622 1 FAMS @F64@ 1 FAMC @F80@ 0 @I267@ INDI 1 NAME Elizabeth /Alsop/ 2 GIVN Elizabeth 2 SURN Alsop 1 SEX F 1 FAMS @F64@ 0 @I268@ INDI 1 NAME Antoni /Swartwort/ 2 GIVN Antoni 2 SURN Swartwort 1 SEX M 1 BIRT 2 DATE 1664 2 PLAC Wiltwyck, New Netherland 1 DEAT 2 DATE 1700 1 FAMS @F65@ 1 FAMC @F67@ 0 @I269@ INDI 1 NAME Jannetje /Coobes/ 2 GIVN Jannetje 2 SURN Coobes 1 SEX F 1 BIRT 2 PLAC Rensselaerswyck, NY 1 FAMS @F65@ 1 FAMC @F66@ 0 @I270@ INDI 1 NAME Jacobus /Coobes/ 2 GIVN Jacobus 2 SURN Coobes 1 SEX M 1 DEAT 2 PLAC NY 1 FAMS @F66@ 0 @I271@ INDI 1 NAME Roeloff /SWARTWOUT/ 2 GIVN Roeloff 2 SURN SWARTWOUT 1 SEX M 1 NOTE Relative to mother, there is disagreement: Andriente Symons died in 2 CONC chilbirth on 17 Dec 1630, but Roeloff wasn't baptised until 1634. Some contend that William of Newport, who 2 CONC may have been on the ship "Dorset" from England in 1635 was the 2 CONC father. William had brothers John and Thomas, and possibly Richard. 2 CONC Their father, believed by some to be a William Soloman Case, may have 2 CONC died on the ship "Dorset". William was known to have three sons, 2 CONC William, Joseph, and James. Thomas was a Quaker preacher/teacher, had 2 CONC no children, and left his estate to William's son William. There was 2 CONC another William Case in Edgartown and a John Case in Tisbury (both 2 CONC Martha's Vineyard) at the same time. No son Henry has been verified 2 CONC for any of the above. John Case once testifieded in Hartford, CT court 2 CONC in 1655 to support Henry's request for release from servitude to John 2 CONC Knott. 2 CONT 2 CONT 1 FAMS @F122@ 0 @I425@ INDI 1 NAME mother /Case/ 2 NPFX Mrs. 2 GIVN mother 2 SURN Case 1 SEX F 1 FAMS @F122@ 0 @I426@ INDI 1 NAME Newton /WRIGHT/ 2 GIVN Newton 2 SURN WRIGHT 1 SEX M 1 BIRT 2 DATE 22 AUG 1818 2 PLAC IN 1 DEAT 2 DATE 31 JAN 1899 2 PLAC Corydon, Harrison Co., IN 1 FAMC @F31@ 0 @I427@ INDI 1 NAME Mehitabel /WELLS/ 2 GIVN Mehitabel 2 SURN WELLS 1 SEX F 1 BIRT 2 DATE 1666 1 DEAT 2 DATE 1742 1 FAMS @F128@ 1 FAMC @F124@ 0 @I428@ INDI 1 NAME Joshua 1 /WELLS/ 2 GIVN Joshua 1 2 SURN WELLS 1 SEX M 1 BIRT 2 DATE 1664 1 DEAT 2 DATE 1744 1 FAMS @F123@ 1 FAMC @F124@ 0 @I429@ INDI 1 NAME Mary /WELLS/ 2 GIVN Mary 2 SURN WELLS 1 SEX F 1 BIRT 2 DATE 1661 1 DEAT 2 DATE 1729 1 FAMC @F124@ 0 @I430@ INDI 1 NAME Ann /WELLS/ 2 GIVN Ann 2 SURN WELLS 1 SEX F 1 BIRT 2 DATE 1668 1 DEAT 2 DATE 1696 1 FAMC @F124@ 0 @I431@ INDI 1 NAME William 1 /WELLS/ 2 GIVN William 1 2 SURN WELLS 1 SEX M 1 BIRT 2 DATE 1605 1 DEAT 2 DATE 1671 1 FAMS @F125@ 1 FAMS @F124@ 0 @I432@ INDI 1 NAME Mrs. William 1 (Mary) /Wells/ 2 GIVN Mrs. William 1 (Mary) 2 SURN Wells 1 SEX F 1 BIRT 2 DATE 1619 1 DEAT 2 DATE 1709 1 FAMS @F124@ 0 @I433@ INDI 1 NAME Patience /WELLS/ 2 GIVN Patience 2 SURN WELLS 1 SEX F 1 BIRT 2 DATE 1658 1 DEAT 2 DATE 1659 1 FAMC @F124@ 0 @I434@ INDI 1 NAME Deborah /WELLS/ 2 GIVN Deborah 2 SURN WELLS 1 SEX F 1 BIRT 2 DATE 1662 1 DEAT 2 DATE 1729 1 FAMC @F124@ 0 @I435@ INDI 1 NAME John 1 /TUTHILL/ 2 GIVN John 1 2 SURN TUTHILL 1 SEX M 1 SOUR @S40@ 1 BIRT 2 DATE 16 JUL 1635 2 PLAC Northfolkshire, EN 1 DEAT 2 DATE 12 OCT 1717 2 PLAC Oysterponds/Orient, Sussex Co., Long Island, NY 1 FAMS @F127@ 1 FAMC @F126@ 0 @I436@ INDI 1 NAME Henry 1 /TUTHILL/ 2 GIVN Henry 1 2 SURN TUTHILL 1 SEX M 1 NOTE Henry Tuthill had a lot in 1637 in Hingham, Ma. but it is not known 2 CONC when he came over to America.
