*WHO WE ARE

*WHERE WE LIVE

We live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment. Perhaps one of the best known attractions here is the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. To view an "animated" picture of the balloon fiesta, click here.

We live in a great neighborhood close to the Sandia Mountains called Antelope Run. We have wonderful neighbors, and we put out a newsletter and web page for the Antelope Run Neighborhood Association.

*WHERE WE WORK

We both work at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Cliff works in the Geohydrology Department on projects involving nuclear waste management and environmental remediation. Sylvia is an Industrial Hygienist at Sandia. She ensures a safe working environment for the employees.

Cliff is also teaching part-time at the University of New Mexico, where he is an adjunct professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Information on the classes he's taught (syllabus, grades, projects, etc.) can be found on Cliff's UNM Home Page.

*WHAT WE LIKE

We love outdoor activities like swimming, skiing, biking, and hiking. We're pretty psyched about skiing--we're both on the Sandia Corporate Cup Ski Team, and we have a lot of fun racing the slalom courses. (But Cliff really prefers the bumps!)

Sylvia also enjoys gardening... you should see her roses during the summer. And her tomato plants are humungous!! She also had a mystery garden that grew from her compost that produced cantaloupe, honeydew melon, acorn squash, bell peppers, and chiles--quite a surprise!

Cliff is also the newsletter editor and web page creator for the Cal Alumni Club of New Mexico. The group sponsors events and activities (such as Big Game parties) to foster the Cal spirit here in New Mexico.

We both enjoy a wide variety of music, too. Sylvia plays the violin, and Cliff plays the piano and guitar. They're still trying to start a band that plays everything from classical to grunge, but they need a drummer. Any takers?
