Sky Networks Update

Dear Pierce:

I just wanted to bring you up to date on the success of The Nephew which first aired on Sky Premier on the 12th December at 8pm after it's debut at the London Film Festival during November last year.

You will be interested to hear that it's Premiere screening received 270,000 viewers. The Nephew has been scheduled once more since it's premiere on 23rd December at 8pm when it had a further 150,000 viewers. Combining these two figures gives it an overall total of 420,000 viewers which equates to over E2.lm at the UY, box office. This would place The Nephew in the top 60 theatrical releases of 1998 ahead of movies such as US Marshalls, Amistad, The Big Lebowski and The Butcher Boy.

For your information, the Premiere rating of The Nephew compares favourably with the following movies which have recently Premiered on Sky: The English Patient (202,000 viewers); Romeo & Juliet (I 8 1,000) and Michael Collins (245,000).

I have enclosed a pack containing all of the press that you and the movie received from it's premiere on Sky Premier, including copies of the Sky TV Guide, analogue and digital, with your front covers, plus some of the stills taken during the shoot in New York. I want to thank you for giving us so much of your time to do the shoot and the interview for us, which, I'm sure helped enormously with the success of the movie on Sky.

It was great seeing you the other night at the first screening of "Grey Owl", and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it - it is a beautiful film and both you and your co-star were stupendous I wish you the best success with it.

Once again, thank you for your time and contribution with making The Nephew a hit on Sky Premier and I hope that we get the opportunity to work together soon.
