THE FILMMAKERS

Eugene Brady
(Director)

After several years producing commercials in the United States and England as well as programmes for BBC television Dublin-born Eugene Brady decided the time had come to do what he'd dreamt of since his days at Bournemouth Art College - make a movie in Ireland. "The Nephew," a story straight from Brady's own life, marks his directorial debut. Quite an auspicious start to have one of the world's leading men in Pierce Brosnan play opposite Donal McCann, a man considered to be Ireland's most forthright actor.

Beau St. Clair
(Producer)

After years in production as well as development, Beau St. Clair knows the importance of getting that first script before the cameras. In less than a year after starting Irish Dreamtime with Pierce Brosnan, they were on location in Ireland producing their first feature film, "The Nephew." St. Clair's other producing credits include "Race the Sun," and "Hideaway" for TriStar Pictures. Next up for Irish Dreamtime is the remake of the academy award-winning classic "The Thomas Crown Affair" for United Artists.

Morgan O'Sullivan
(Executive Producer)

Morgan O'Sullivan has been involved in the entertainment industry his entire career. Presently a member of the Irish Film Board, O'Sullivan has been a champion of making Ireland a favorite location for international feature-film and television productions through the Irish tax incentive programmed, Section 35. He has worked with HBO, NBC Productions and MTM Productions. In addition to his television and film work, O'Sullivan had a distinguished career as a broadcaster with RTE, as well as the Australian Broadcasting Commission. World 2000 Entertainment, which he started with Tom Palmieri and Irish businessman Bernard Somers, marks its feature film debut with "The Nephew," the first Irish film to be fully financed by private investors.

Tom Palmieri
(Executive Producer)

Tom Palmieri has spent much of his career overseeing production of some of America's most popular television series. As Executive Vice President of MTM Entertainment, he was responsible for guiding programs including "Hill Street Blues," St. Elsewhere," and "Remington Steele." During that time, he expanded one of American's leading production companies to international heights with the purchase of Ireland's Ardmore studios. It was there that Palmieri began his working relationship with Morgan O'Sullivan. The two, along with Irish businessman Bernard Somers, moved into the realm of feature filmmaking with the establishment of World 2000 Entertainment.

Jack Conroy
(Director of Photography)

Perhaps the best-known Irish cinematographer, Jack Conroy's credits include many of his country's most famous films of the last fifteen years, "The Playboys," "The Field," and "My Left Foot" are only some of the films Conroy has overseen as Director of Photography. Hollywood has beckoned as Conroy has shot several American Feature-films and cable movies including "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey II," "Silent Tongue," and "Tyson."

J. Patrick Duffner
(Editor)

As the editor of such movies as "Michael Collins," "The Field," "My Left Foot," and "Angel," Patrick Duffner has worked with some of Ireland's best known directors, including Jim Sheridan and Neil Jordan. Duffner's collaboration with Eugene Brady, on "The Nephew," gave the first-time director the creative support necessary to bring his story to the screen.

John De Cuir
(Production Designer)

John DeCuir has successfully completed a series of international feature films, theme parks and interior design projects. His production design credits include "Top Gun," "Sister Act II," "Turner and Hooch." DeCuir is also an instructor of Film Production Design in the UCLA Extension Program, "The Language of Vision."
